Rules & regulations

  • All players registered in the Al-Wahda Sports Festival must be of the Shia Ithn’Asheri Faith. Any individual found to be in violation of this rule, will be immediately disqualified from the festival. In the event, the individual is part of a team, the entire team will be disqualified from the competition.
  • Draws for all options { Singles  (Juniors ) , Open Singles & Open Doubles } will be done by Coordinators & no changes will be allowed .
  • Players (Adult + Youth) will be allocated designated Tables for each playing Option.
  • Proper athletic clothing and appropriate non-marking shoes are required – recommended shorts and golf / tee shirts.
  • Food or drinks will not be allowed except for bottled water.
  • Players are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled match. Any Player not turning up on time will get a 12 minutes grace period, after which the game will be awarded to the other player.
  • Players will be expected to keep noise at minimum when games are in progress and avoid foul language.
  • Any Player found misbehaving with Game Officials / using foul language & trying to disrupt the game will be asked to leave the Game Room and will not be allowed to participate in the Tournament any more.
  • All players are expected to handle all available equipments with care.
  • Players should have their own table tennis racquets as balls will be provide
  • All players must be of Shia-Ithna-asheri faith.
  • Waiver Forms: Players will abide with general rules and conditions of the Al Wahda Sports Festival and coordinators need to have the signed form before the start of the first match. .
  • Registration: All Players are required to complete On-line Registration along with payment option. In case of Doubles Option selected the registration for both players need to be completed to avoid rejection. For any clarification send email to
  • Options Available: All players can register for only two Options. Details are as follows:
    1. Kids Group. 12 years and under
    2. Youth Group 12 plus to 17 years
    3. Kids & Youth Doubles (15 years and under)
    4. Open Singles. (Preferred Age limit 18 onwards)
    5. Open Doubles. (Preferred Age limit 18 onwards)
